Prayer times worldwide – Praay.org
Praay.org is a global service for prayer times (salah times) with precise calculations for over 151.725 cities in 250 countries worldwide. Today, Monday, 23 February 2026, you can find the exact times for all five daily prayers – Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha – as well as sunrise, sunset, Imsak and Islamic midnight. All times are updated automatically and adjusted to your city's precise coordinates and local time zone, whether you are in Scandinavia, the Middle East, Europe or the rest of the world.
Today's prayer times in Copenhagen
Today in Copenhagen the prayer times are: Fajr at 05:18, sunrise at 07:16, Dhuhr at 12:23, Asr at 14:54, Maghrib at 17:32 and Isha at 19:27. Daylight in Copenhagen is 10 hours and 16 minutes, and the fasting period from Fajr to Maghrib is approx. 12 hours and 14 minutes.
Prayer times worldwide
Praay.org covers cities on every continent – from the Nordic countries to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, North and South America and much more. With over 151.725 cities spread across 250 countries, you can find prayer times for almost any city on the globe. Use the search field to find your city, or let Praay.org automatically detect your location. Each country has its own time zone, and prayer times are calculated correctly with respect to daylight saving time and standard time.
Comparison of prayer times in selected cities
Prayer times vary significantly depending on latitude. Today Fajr in Copenhagen is at 05:18, in London at 05:12 and in Istanbul at 06:20. Maghrib is correspondingly at 17:32 in Copenhagen, 17:30 in London and 18:48 in Istanbul. Cities closer to the equator have more stable prayer times throughout the year, while cities at high latitudes like Stockholm (Fajr 04:51, Maghrib 17:01) and Oslo (Fajr 05:20, Maghrib 17:29) experience large seasonal variations. Praay.org uses angle-based adjustments for high latitudes, ensuring realistic prayer times even during the brightest Scandinavian summer nights.
Three calculation methods
Praay.org supports three recognized calculation methods to accommodate all schools of jurisprudence: Shia (Ja'fari) from Leva Research Institute in Qum, Shafii, Maliki and Hanbali from Muslim World League (MWL), Saudi Arabia, and Hanafi also from MWL. The difference between the methods is primarily seen in the Fajr angle and Asr calculation. The Hanafi method typically gives a later Asr time, as it requires a longer shadow. Choose the method that suits your school of thought – your choice is saved automatically via cookies, so you don't need to choose again next time.
Seasons and prayer times in winter
We are now in winter in Scandinavia, and this significantly affects prayer times for northern latitudes. The days are short with late Fajr and early Maghrib. The fasting period is shorter, but Isha comes early. The five daily prayers are closer together in time. Cities closer to the equator experience only minor variations in prayer times throughout the year. Praay.org automatically handles transitions between daylight saving time and standard time in all countries.

Prayer times during Ramadan
During Ramadan, precise prayer times are especially important for Suhoor (the early meal before Fajr) and Iftar (the meal at Maghrib). Praay.org shows the Imsak time, which is a precautionary time approx. 10 minutes before Fajr, when one should stop eating. The Maghrib time marks when the fast is broken. With the monthly calendar on the city pages, you can plan the entire month of Ramadan in advance. Praay.org also shows a special Ramadan Kareem theme with green and golden colors, lantern animations and stars, reminiscent of the significance of this holy month.
Calculation basis
All calculations on Praay.org are based on the recognized open source algorithm from praytimes.org, used by millions of Muslims worldwide. The algorithm calculates the sun's position from date, latitude and longitude, and derives prayer times from astronomical angles. For high latitudes (as in Scandinavia), the angle-based method is used, which interpolates the times to ensure reasonable intervals, even when astronomical twilight does not occur in summer. Each city is calculated individually from its precise GPS coordinates.
